You are being too emotional mate. RE2 Remake is coming this year. Right now I'm more concerned about how the Pc version going to be. Hopefully it doesn't become another RE4 bullshit port (ironically that port was done by sourcenext supervised by Ubisoft). We can wait for Pc version, but if they release a half assed version along with consoles. Its worthless. Hopefully in Pc version of both re7 and re2 remake we get: Multi monitor support. Ultra wide 21:9 support. No black bars on 16:10 and 4:3. Graphical upgrade. No fps limit. Smooth game instead of stuttery mess or microstutters. And hopefully it will be optimized. I dont think RE2 Will release this year. Probably next year. We haven't even seen anything from it yet. We have seen More of RE7 And thats releasing next year. Unless you Mean We will see something from RE2 This year.

"RE7 gonna be worse than that"
uh... how? Even at its worst it won't be as bad as UC.

Umbrella Corps is a mediocre PvP multiplayer game, whereas RE7 is not. It won't even be a co-op game so It's going be judged very differently than UC. It'll no doubt get much better reception since it's appealing a great deal to that "let's play a horror game" crowd, which honestly always give games high scores anyway. I remember how many praised The Evil Within and that game was atrocious as a "horror" game.

Eh RE7 will be more like a thriller than a horror game.

Even RE7 at its trashiest couldn't be as absolutely shitty as UC. Not unless Capcom fuck up that badly.
And if they do fuck up the next mainline game, I wouldn't be surprised if RE was trashed.

It is interesting how nobody cared for that in the past... But now, they are actually bothered for playing as characters who can fight back, and not as some incapable, crippled (no offense to people with disabilities) random person who's only means of progressing is running or standing still. I'm so passing this "game". You guys have fun, but I will wait for RE2 Remake and play that, if CRAPCOM doesn't shit on that too.

Totaly agree with you, let's wait for RE2 remake, they can go to hell with RE7 (it sometimes has to end with the streak of success LOL)

While we're on the subject of RE2 and non-combatants, had Claire any combat exprience prior the events of the game, because as far as I know Raccoon was the first time where she had to defend herself by shooting things. And, as you wrote, nobody cared about that back then so I'm surpised people care so much about that now. If I recall correctly combat in some form has been more or less confirmed in RE7, so you won't be running and standing still all the time. Also wasn't this, like, a valid strategy for avoiding shit in the first games? Damn, my memory must be playing tricks on me...

It was hinted, in DSC, that Chris was teaching her some of the things he learned. But, it was in DSC, so I'm not sure if that counts... What bothers me a lot, is that people are complaining about combat nowdays, whereas, in the past, they were perfectly fine with it. And, to make matters worse, huge number of those people are fans of previous games.

My two primary issues with it are the direction (Blatant copy of popular first person horror games) and the lack of anything Resident Evil.
What does this shitty little house in the middle of nowhere contribute to the overall plot, and it's probably NOT gonna tie up the quintillion loose hanging threads still in the series.
