RE7 is not Resident Evil, that's clear. I don't remembered who said it, but 6, even with people bitching about it, has many aspects which resamble any RE game. 7 is just a bunch of cheap jump scares, swearing and no charisma at all.
By the way, i never knew why people hate 6 so much. So many references to other RE games, like 2 and 3. Come on. The story of 6 is more more convincent than 7, with "Chris" or not. Besides, Capcom may have ruined one of its iconic chars for no reason unless cash grabbing.

Now RE7 is pure outlast nwakvn...i mean horror now every YT critic is happy now. The resident evil 6 is not perfect by any means- sometimes have serious problems with plot and focus ,i understand the critic. BUT!!! Calling RE6 "the worst piece of shit" is just blasphemy.
RE 6 is the first game EVER what makes me cry in the end - Chris campaign NO SPOILERS!!. After RE7 i was bored AF,but hey "its scarry!!" this is what about resident evil was about right???

I wouldn't say it has serious flaws, but plot wholes are evident. I agree with you. But, what i like the most in 6 is exactly the action factor. Like you're really fighting for your life. Let's be honest: in a situation like that, you can't rely upon weapons all the time. You need to use everything you have to survive, even fists and feet.
About the horror factor, for me, seeing a whole city being destroyed by a virus is horror. Bows every corner is horror. Most people can't understand that. Horror is not just being scared, it's also about being afraid of dying at any second by the hands of some creature. I think what people really bitch about is some lacking of tension, which is not incorrect, but horror is much more than simply being scared for some seconds.

Resident Evil always has had a horror theme in their games, I think misunderstoods come when the concept is subjectively used to describe more general experiences. Some people gives me the impression that what they want is feel fear with the game, like a valor challenge. So when there come words like horror, action-horror, survival horror, return to the roots, etc... some fans get dissapointed as they were expecting a scary game, however those words were used with other purposes (for example, for describing the mood and aesthetic of the game).

I think what people really bitch about is some lacking of tension, which is not incorrect, but horror is much more than simply being scared for some seconds. yes exactly, that's more believable and i like it too "seeing a whole city being destroyed by a virus is horror"yeah that's true too but there is just one problem about that one there wasn't any whole city it's just a direct line based game without having anymore decision to take if we had at least few different ways to choose (some streets...) maybe it could be a better game and over than that the 2nd big mistake is showing itself we are able to have our favorite character just in a quarter of game (personally: the game was just 2-3 hours for me) and then i faced with the third problem i couldn't recognized my favorite game leon's campaign became a tomb rider in the middle of the story and gameplay chris' campaign was already a CODe battle redfield! ... i've said this before that amount sale of re5 fooled capcom very bad and i was sure that re6 will happen and i warned about it years ago, that re7 will happen one day and unfortunately i was right and it happened too  but about "i never knew why people hate 6 so much" it's just a game no need to hate personally i never hated re6, i just easily ignored it actually right now it's an absolute new game for me (i've played it less than 3 hours at all) (but to be honest design of characters and also the graphic performance was awesome, so indeed a big congratulation to them for that)

I agree with you, Seda. The lacking of choices to make was a drawback, but it's been for a while. Maybe from 4 (never played it), 5 and 6? Maybe that's why Capcom came up with Revelations 2, where the game changes according to your decisions. Well, i get the point people dislike it now, and that's fine. We all many RE games, so anyone can choose what fits them better.

yeah pretty much expected, but at the same time i couldn't care less.
But they already announced that they will try to continue milking more sales out of 7 with ports and re releases.
i wonder when they will port RE5 and RE6, they most likely would make more profit out of that two games.

The whole streaming thing makes this "port" so useless. The game basically works the same way that on PlayStation you can use PS Now to stream a game to your console and play it that way, but it means you need a super good/stable internet conenction otherwise you get super bag lag/ input lag or weird visual issues (like a video on youtube turning to super low quality) it also completely misses the main ideas of the switch console. which is being able to PLAY ANYWHERE. besides that you don't BUY the game, you pay 2000 yen to rent the game for 180 days, it does include all dlc when you play it through this. It's pretty clear capcom is using this as a test though to see if this would even work, and so far it's only been announced for Japan. If they do go this route it would mean that "porting" games to the switch would be super easy for them as they don't need to port the game at all, I just hope this doesn't become their main trend. I like to own games on my switch, and not be tied to streaming the game to my console... you know for that whole PLAY ANYWHERE thing. they have announced that you get to play the game for free for 15 minutes before needing to buy the 180 day pass, I don't live in Japan but I have a Japanese switch eShop account so I'll probably try out the 15 minutes to see if it even works when playing from outside Japan, and I'll post back when I've tried it out.
