Resident Evil 7

I'm with Cool, I consider CVX the peak of the "classic" games.

People regularly dispute whether or not CV is actually any good, so the "overrated" bit seems a bit far-fetched.

RE4, definitely though.

I can easily understand the idea of thinking RE4 is overrated given that it's nigh-universally adored and it's one of those games that influenced the game industry to an extreme extent. IMO, it's not aged well and its imitators do the job better.

But is there anything else that worth the time? With the two last adittions, there should have been things to talk. Issues about the new monsters, the evil company that was working with the saw psycopath, new levels, even there is a new character. (And songs? do those DLC have new sound tracks?) However at the end, I´m not interested on anything about that, not even to say any complaint or to engage.

What I really want are news about the future RE games. (The RE2 Remake, the Anpo´s project and future CGI movies):

Thinking that Yoshiaki was one of the producers of RE6, makes me hope that he will make a better work protraying the RE characters in the RE2 remake.

About Anpo, although it last game, RE:Rev2 was a bit weak (low budget feeling), I remember that it payed attention to others characters in the world via documents (Jill and Piers mails, Wesker and Spencer mentions) and loose characters comments (Chris the overprotector, Claire´s conversation in the epilogue). Even rescuing Terrasave from the movie and Barry´s family, and all those ports in Raid mode, It game me the vibe that he is also trying to connect with the fandom and lore. But also he was the director of RE5, the best seller of the company and the one that included the cooperative in RE, plus he also mentioned how much attention he put in the cinematics because he liked that cinematic look (And RE:Rev2 followed this taste somehow with his TV show style)... At the moment, his next RE project is a good mystery, but watching his contributions, it gives me hopes about a good RE game comming. O_ò (¿RE:Rev3? ¿Any other spin off?).

And the CGI movies, the last that I saw was the feedback request on RE:Vendetta facebook profile, and most of the people were asking things that I was agree, so if that´s the feedback, I hope there come good things with it.


I wish it were February already to this "quiet period" finishes and see what are the new things that comes for RE. But RE7, I don´t see it much more color to it. If it wants so much real graphics, let it be with the Alice live-action movies.

When a company wants to invest in something
they should know the target market well
I think it would be very absurd if we produce something without taking into account the demands of the customers

This is precisely the problem that the company is involved with

They spend hours, days, months and years to make a game
But not even 5 minutes a day to read the comments of the target community
Otherwise, they knew what it must have and what it need to take as new features
They have forgotten even the most important features of this product

camera angle (a fps camera was very good to have but just as an extra option for this franchise)
The balance between fear and survival and struggle
The determinative value of characters
The value of continuity and coherence of a story
And the most important part, The value of the fans who value the product

Just 5 minutes a day to spend time reading the fans' comments
could tell them what the meaning of a franchise was

i believe that when a game became a franchise it's not your property anymore
it belongs to fans too and you should care about them

so please capcom
next time, do not make what ever you want (your own childhood dreams...) and abuse our feels about this title

I find it hilarious too that RE7 died. Like, nobody talks about it anymore. RE4-6 get far more discussion around the net than 7.
