ROFL XD why does zoey look like A Snow Queen XD this really looks like a fairytale story right now ROFL RE turned into a Disney Princess Story XD I mean, Alejandra (probably butchered it or got the wrong name Javiers daughter) could throw fireballs, we broke that barrier a long time ago Also unrelated to that www.vg247.com/2017/10/18/resident-evil-7-has-reached-capcoms-target-of-4-million-units-shipped/RE7 Reached Capcoms intended goal, nobody can say they failed now, they reached what they consider a great success/

Not really. They did fail to meet their 4 million goal on time when they wanted to and right now it is not even a relevant goal any more. Capcom's most recent goal for RE7 is 5.5 million by March 2018, which they are also gonna fail by the looks of it.

Don't forget to mention that meeting your goal in 10 months isn't really the poster boy for "booming success", given that they originally planned to ship 4 million sales by APRIL.

Sold a lot, but nobody talks about it. It left no mark, and nothing memorable, on the industry.

RE7 on the other hand after you beat it you pretty much have 0 reason to pick it up again since it offered no online modes to play with friends or even a extra mercenaries mode/raid mode, those extra tapes are very short and you have to pay for them to boot, GTA V was by no means a masterpiece but I can say I got months upon months of play after beating its story thanks to the online mode, RE7 on the otherhand has only collected dust on my shelf since I beat it. Its a shame really, even with RE6 I got some kind of enjoyment out of the game post credits with its extra modes but its a shame Capcom dropped the ball by not giving fans a legit longterm reason to stay invested in the game after you beat it other than some short "tape modes" that you have to pay for.

By "GTA V syndrome" I was referring more to the correlation between "game sales" and "people talking about said game". You'd think for a game that people consider a """SUCCESS""", RE7 would be more talked about. But, like all the horror games it tried to rip off, it stopped being relevant to anything about a month after release. Hell, people talk about 4 through 6 more than 7. Perhaps because, as you said, there's reason to actually play those other games. Mercenaries is good fun, and co-op made RE5 and 6 timeless. My copy isn't even gathering dust; not even the prospect of a free epilogue DLC was enough to convince me to keep it, so I sold it for Nier Automata, the superior game.

The real question is, how the fuck Zoe lost her clothes?
Did they threw away her clothes and ran naked in the forest? Am I missing something?

Regardless, the game still did good, it didnt meet their exact goal but they got the target sales they wanted Also PS, most 'hardcore' fans I know played and enjoyed the game regardless, they loved the game it seems like there is a minority of people who hate it rather than the majority The free DLC will just bring more people in when they hear about Chris

Also, falling back on the "well people *I* know liked it!" fallacy does you no favours.
