Resident Evil 6 Leon voice over Resident Evil 5 Chris
This mod is based on Resident Evil 6 sound files and requires Resident Evil 5 to play. The mod replaces all Chris' default voice commands and replies. Chosen lines are taken from RE6's campaign and were chosen by me. Most lines are consistent, some are added for laughs. In this particular mod Leon is mostly calm and semi-sarcastic. Be sure to pair this mod with model swaps (some are listed below). List of changed audio (non specific order):- All hotkey commands
- Responses when given an item / healed / saved
- Critical shot praise
- Melee combo praise
- Asking for help when grabbed
- Dying state related lines
- Requests for ammo / herbs / 1st Aid Spray / grenades
- Door / ladder / push related lines
- Reaction to partner's death
- Requesting the bot to pick up the item (solo only)
[/font][/b] [li]Perfect for coop play, all lines are included[/li][li]Works with all costumes [/li][li]Amplified audio to suit RE5[/li][li]Most default RE6 commands are not included (would be rather boring, right?)[/li][li]Each line has a working radio version (quick radio filter applied)[/li][li]Works in campaign, mercs, DLC[/li][li]Full Fluffy Manager 5000 support[/li][/ul] [/font][/b] [li]Requests for weapons are not included[/li][li]Unused lines aren't included[/li][li]Radio lines weren't tested as much, might have bugs[/li][li]Solo responses from Chris aren't included[/li][li]Huffing, puffing, moaning isn't modded (likely located in the character data) [/li][li]The taunt is not included (likely located in the character data) [/li][/ul] InstallationEasy way:- Get the Fluffy Manager 5000 and get it running
- Unpack the mod archive, check the Readme.txt
- Copy "RE6 Leon voice over Chris" folder to <Modmanager>\RE5\mods
- Go to "Menu" > "Options" > "Define Game info" > Select RE5 as "current game" and check if the "Install path" is correct (point it to the root folder in <SteamLibrary>\SteamApps\common\Resident Evil 5)
- Select "Mod Manager" and click on "RE6 Leon voice over Chris"
- If everything was done right then it will backup your current audio and replace it with new one
- Launch the game and enjoy
Manual way:- Unpack the mod archive, check the Readme.txt
- Go to <SteamApps>\common\Resident Evil 5\nativePC_MT\sound and backup "bgm" and "bgm_dc" folders
- Now go to <SteamApps>\common\Resident Evil 5\ and copy and merge with "nativePC_MT" of my mod (see "RE6 Leon voice over Chris" folder)
- Confirm overwrites
- Launch the game and enjoy
- To uninstall delete "bgm" and "bgm_dc" and replace them with backups

This is amazing XD i cant wow this is the most Flashed out Voice mod i have seen normally people will just use chris but you went all out XD good work D

I remember there were half a decade old tutorials about basic audio editing, but I didn't follow any of them.
In this case all you need to have is knowledge of Audacity and audio file structure of RE5 and some spare time.

Great job I love Leon *W* <3 For my next public mod I wouldn't mind adding another RE6 character audio in. It would make more sense to use campaign characters as their usage is more common, so Sheva possibly would be next. Which voice would you suggest to have on her?

^Any cooperation from other modders is welcome. As far as I know misc character sounds and taunt audio is located in the character arc. Modding at least the taunt would be an icing on the cake.

i´m not so sure but i think my friend verdugo7 changed this audio on his leon josh over chris mod! if i´m alright maybe he can collaborate with you! i´m a little parasite in re5 mod anyway. kkkkkkkk

pretty nice job i made one myself a long time ago but never finished it because of the missing radio voices. You did a nice work with them!
This would be helpful if you can share a tutorial from you on this forum. if it helps, this is the very old tutorial i used when i made my Excella DLC voice mod from a time where we still dreamed from DLC for PC z6.invisionfree.com/Resident_Evil_4_PC/index.php?showtopic=10496but without a tool it's a pain to HEX edit the file. I think Mr.Nightmare did one but no idea if this is still available.

As of now George and I have worked together to provide us all with an All in One mod download that includes model and audio modifications. Compatible with Fluffy Manager 5000, of course. Enjoy.
