Resident Evil 6 Ada voice over Resident Evil 5 Sheva
This mod is based on Resident Evil 6 sound files and requires Resident Evil 5 to play. The mod replaces all Sheva's default voice commands and replies. Chosen lines are taken from RE6's campaign and were chosen by me. All lines are consistent and fit the character well. In this particular mod is intended for use with calm/sarcastic Leon, Ada has special expanded quotes. Be sure to pair this mod with my Leon's audio swap, along with the fix for Ada and model swaps that were made by other modders (some are listed below). List of changed audio (non specific order):- All hotkey commands
- Responses when given an item / healed / saved
- Critical shot praise
- Melee combo praise
- Asking for help when grabbed
- Dying state related lines
- Requests for ammo / herbs / 1st Aid Spray / grenades
- Door / ladder / push related lines
- Reaction to partner's death
- Requesting the bot to pick up the item (solo only)
[li]Perfect for coop play, all lines are included[/li][li]Amplified audio to suit RE5[/li][li]None of the default RE6 responses are included (that would be boring, wouldn't it?) [/li][li]Each line has a working radio version (quick radio filter applied)[/li][li]Works in campaign, mercs, DLC[/li][li]Full Fluffy Manager 5000 support[/li][/ul] [li]Requests for weapons are not included[/li][li]As of now the extra costumes aren't included [/li][li]Unused lines aren't included[/li][li]Solo responses from Sheva aren't included[/li][li]Huffing, puffing, moaning isn't modded (likely located in the character data) [/li][li]The taunt is not included (likely located in the character data) [/li][/ul] InstallationEasy way:- Get the Fluffy Manager 5000 and get it running
- Unpack the mod archive, check the Readme.txt
- Copy "RE6 Ada over Sheva" folder to <Modmanager>\RE5\mods
- Go to "Menu" > "Options" > "Define Game info" > Select RE5 as "current game" and check if the "Install path" is correct (point it to the root folder in <SteamLibrary>\SteamApps\common\Resident Evil 5)
- Select "Mod Manager" and click on "RE6 Ada over Sheva"
- If everything was done right then it will backup your current audio, character and replace it with new ones
- Launch the game and enjoy
Manual way:- Unpack the mod archive, check the Readme.txt
- Go to <SteamApps>\common\Resident Evil 5\nativePC_MT\sound and backup "bgm" and "bgm_dc" folders
- Go to <SteamApps>\common\Resident Evil 5\nativePC_MT\Image\Archive and backup uPl01ShebaNormal.arc, uPl01ShebaArmorA.arc, uPl01ShebaArmorB.arc, uPl01ShebaArmorF.arc
- Now go to <SteamApps>\common\Resident Evil 5\ and copy and merge with "nativePC_MT" of my mod (see "RE6 Ada over Sheva" folder)
- Confirm overwrites
- Launch the game and enjoy
- To uninstall delete "bgm", "bgm_dc" and modded ARC files then replace them with backups

I could also try adding support for other costumes, but not right now. If needed I could try adding more characters or integrate my mod into your char mod. Proper bug reports are welcome.

This so nice of course, but some speech is out of place in my opinion. Why do you use praise as an "perfect" instead of "thanks"? I do not understand, because there already have a speech of characters, which are well suited to replace. It looks a bit silly in diyng status, when characters says in a calm voice, there is a more emotional phrases for these cases by default.

It looks a bit silly in diyng status, when characters says in a calm voice, there is a more emotional phrases for these cases by default. Everyone's a critic. That's right, it's your opinion. I chose those lines myself and I consider them to be best suiting for every listed situation. If you're a fan of boring, routine replies then this mod isn't for you, as I absolutely hate lifeless template-like responses. Before I compile a list of candidate quotes I check the entire list at least 4-5 times. After I made sure I didn't miss any potential segments I check the list of quotes I gathered and then choose most appropriate ones. After that's been done I proceed to real life tests with a partner to see if audio levels are right and if there are no logical errors in lines and responses. After both have been tweaked I prep mod for the release. If you think that you know better you can always check <steamapps>\common\Resident Evil 6\nativePC\sound\se\radio\source and see if there are more suitable quotes for dying status. I don't check cutscene audio because there's too much reverb and noise in them, practically useless. Oh and as my readme says: you're free to do any tweaks that would suit your taste better. In this case most audio duration is hacked to be extended, there shouldn't be any problem to put something more "emotional" in s_45.sngw and s_46.sngw. Or you know, delete them and keep original Sheva ones. "The speech of characters" is stored in SPC files, if you'll be so kind to provide me with clean extracts of said lines I'll be glad to update the mod. Otherwise I have absolutely zero interest implementing dirty reverb, background noise audio in the main branch of my mods. But since others might be interested here's something.

I understand your point. Yes, you are right, if someone does not like something, they may miss your mods or make own version. This is your job and you do as you like. And I understand what do you mean, yes, sound has a noise like a poor quality, although this collection of speech I like more. At the expense lifeless template-like responses I do not agree. They express more emotionally appropriate response to the situation. On the contrary, I find some of your selected conversations a little boring and monotonous, but then again, this is just my taste and opinion. Some of them even meaningless, for example when Helena asks an egg and says "You can do this". Whaaaaat? XD Such examples can be found more. I would love to help you and maybe tried do something myself, if there was a SPC tool that is now hard to find for available. I have him long time ago, but it seems I have lost him. Because edited manually using the HEX editor this for me pain in the ass! In any case, it's fun and interesting, so keep doing what you're doing! PS/ If someone find SPC tool, or has access to him, please share through via PM with me.

PS/ If someone find SPC tool, or has access to him, please share through via PM with me. Judging by the posts left by Mr Nightmare's/Gh0stBlade's friend the SPC tool is unable to extract clean media player compatible files, instead it extracts files that can be swapped with others of same format, when packed back they playback perfectly within the engine, but do not in media players/converters. However, RE5's emotion files do not use this format.
