Could you imagine what kind of mind-screw they coulda had with
the players if they did?  Think about it...  They'd essentially be
nobodies in the Resident Evil canon.  Know what happens to
NOBODIES in horror movie franchises, don't 'cha?  Uh-huh.
_____Well, lemme 'splain...  They open up their own line of
fragrance products after the movies get made!  Then they
take the profits for seed capital and start capybara ranching.
Demand for the meat and fur of those little buggers is off the
scale right about now because...
____NO!  They do NOT do that!  They DIE!  Nobodies DIE!  
They're just canon fodder (pun intended!) for the artificial
karma machine known as the writer's imagination!  Playin' 
as nobodies coulda meant that the two playable characters
DIE AT THE END!  YEAH, PLAYING AS CHARACTERS WHO
JUST END UP BEIN' DEAD ANYWAY!  EVERYBODY DIES!  
RED WEDDINGS TIMES A THOUSAND!  BWA-HAHAHAHAHA 
HAHAHAAA!  Ahem...  Hahahahaah!
