_____Per somebody's request, and JUST THIS ONE REQUEST, I made two
pistols silver in color. Lemme tell ya, Vamp Moira was none too happy
to pose with 'em, either! Silver? Vampires? They don't get along too
well. Then I hadda tell 'er that her hands were cyborg-metal and wouldn't
be a problem. Also hadda tell her that pretending to be a vampire and
actually being one are two different things? Almost got shot by those
modded pistols for sayin' that, too.
_____Here's a word of warning for some of y'all thinkin' about doin' precious
metal reskins! Ya just can't do a screen grab of a silver bar an' slap it on
the texture map. The shading gradients will mess up the colors and tones
so the colors are all mismatched from one end to the other. Ya gotta be
CONSISTENT! Don't forget the *.mm color-shadow map-things, either!
Another thing, the stuff's expensive! And another thing! Precious metals
SUCK for weapons--'cuz they're wimp materials! Here're some photos.
