For me it's RE2. And it's not because it's the first RE game I played, but it's because of everything it has. The characters felt very 3 dimensional. The voice acting was hokey for some characters, but I think Sally Cahill knocked it out of the park as Ada. I really hope Capcom goes back and gets Sally to do the RE2 REmake, but I doubt they will. They don't seem to really care about keeping their English voice talent. The music was second to none. Every song added atmosphere or character depth to the game. Let me put it this way, there was a reason Ada's RE2 theme was brought back in RE6. But I think what really made it my favorite in the series was the fact that you had more than 1 story mode that you could play. That's the only time I can think of in a horror game where you have multiple story modes that drastically change the scenes and the enemies. It was a pleasant surprise when you get to see Ada "die" a different way only to come back and give you an RPG. Mr.X was a pleasant surprise every time he appeared. It really felt like buying 2 games for the price of one. I hope they keep the seperate campaigns in the remake, but I'll understand if they don't.
