I kind of hope they ditch the 2000s revisioned look and go with the original, made realistic. They could include the revised version as an extra costume.
Also, no reuse of old assets! CAPCOM can't get away with it, since this game should be a true next-generation game, so all assets should be fresh.

I'll be remembered as the greatest Emperor ever to rule the Sith. That'll do nicely don't you agree?

Hope they get the writer from RE4 or at the very least RE5 to do the dialogue.

I didn't know it was announced! The last I heard was that "H" had pitched the idea to the higher-ups which was at the end of July. Curiously looking forward to it, but hoping for the best!

You're right, lol To be fair, the only game that had decent dialogue was Revelations 2 - it had wit and humor that the other games did not have (which I also want to contribute to the voice actresses in the game). It also fell flat in other places, but that's as good as it gets for RE as a series.

Well I think Claire and Barry certainly had more wit than Moira. Moira was saying what the player was thinking I found alot of the time. Chris and Sheva had some decent conversations in RE5. (Intro and during the stairs in the ship) They also cut out some unused dialogue between Chris and Jill in the Lost in Nightmares DLC. RE2's dialogue is pretty cheesey now but for young kids back then it made enough sense. It would need to be more intelligent this time because the demographic is an older audience. Also I do hope it is Allyson Court who will be voicing Claire as She is so renowned for that role, but if not then I hope the new VA for Claire does her best not to necessarily emulate Allyson but to get the essence of the character of Claire at that time. I think the VA for Revelations 2 did a good job as she was able to articulate a more mature stoic Claire. But Claire is new here, she's a scared shitless young woman determined to look for her brother and look after a poor little girl caught in the chaos like herself.

I just played Revelations 2 today and have an example, from Episode 3: Claire: "Hurry, Neil needs me." Moira: "He needs YOU?" It made sense and it didn't stand out as something you wouldn't say in real life. The series is known for its serious-yet-cheesy dialogue so the tongue-in-cheek sarcasm we had on Revelations 2 was a refreshing change.
