Megaman Legends, a series that was cut entirely too short. I dunno about anyone else here, but its one of the games that I grew up with alongside my copies of Resident Evil. Keiji Inafune has announced a kickstarter for a spiritual successor to it called Red Ash. Overall the project sounds pretty neat, but its not getting a lot of traction or coverage just about anywhere. It seems to have hit sooner than it should have with his first project on schedule to release in less than 2 months now. As far as I know, Mighty No. 9 is complete, but it was held back because Deep Silver wanted to do a full physical launch for the game, delaying it well out of the month of July. Sounds a lot like there were some contractual obligations to start up the next project for this team when the first one was done, which is technically is, we're just waiting on boxed copies to his store shelves.
The goal is they want to create a prologue chapter for an open world dungeon crawling game with the same feel and look of the Legends titles. They are not asking us to back the entire game, just enough to get a publishing company to dump a real budget on it that way they can make a really big open world game for all the people that were depressed over the cancellation of Megaman Legends 3. So far the Kickstarter is just teetering ever so close to the halfway mark, from what I've seen in a few interviews is that they are promising a campaign length of 8 hours at minimum and it will have a definitive end to the prologue even if it does not reach the stretch goals.
Anyways, just wanted to get this out there to a few more boards I visit. Legends is a series that's immensely dear to me, to the point I actually have my original copies of the first two games from when I was a small child, so I figure maybe its worth sharing this project.
