Chronicles games for PS3 are real cheap right now on PSN, but keeping in mind Capcoms recent ports quality i'd like to know how well it fares in comparison to the Wii originals- are all the features there or did something got busted (like the visuals or anything for that matter)? I've read somewhere that they're pretty much 1:1 copies, but would like to confirm it reading from someone with first hand experience. Thanks in advance .

I'm answering too late but IMO, the only terrible HD ports on PS3/Xbox360 Capcom ever did with Resident Evil games are Code Veronica X HD (ok framerate but no improved textures, blurry low res cutscenes with ZERO treatment, barely no improvement except lighter lighting effet, water and inventory portrait. Leaderboards added. Also the results and main screens backgrounds were improved but those changes are not really significant.) and Resident Evil 4 HD (just anti aliasing and leaderboards, nothing else. Even the framerate is not stable).
Both were priced $19.99 which I consider an utter scam.
As for the Chronicles games, the HD version on PS3 is pretty much a 1:1 copy indeed. The only changes brought are leaderboard, auto aim for beginners and redone character artworks. Here again, the changes are not significant but at least, they did a great job with porting the game, the cutscenes are not blurry, framerate is good, anti aliasing makes the models, effects and textures look good. And more particularly, the price was far better than both RE: CV HD and RE4 HD. Both Chronicles were sold in a 26.99€/$ bundle or 14.99$/€ separately.
I definitely recommend Chronicles HD Collection, especially if you never had the chance to play them on the Wii.
