Along with news that the P.T demo will be soon removed from the PSN Store many reports are now pretty much saying the game has been cancelled

Konami are a bunch of asshats- they disposed of the only person who was making them consistently quality products.

To be fair, he wasn't the one behind the Silent Hill Series so the fact that they are cancelling the game over him and his team's involvement, says alot in terms of how much the game may have potentially been very different from the actual series. (Just look at Resident Evil with Shinji Makami and how the games are very different in terms of their focus without the original team) Hell the directors for RE5 and RE6 ruined some characters and could've ruined more had they had their full way. Then again it depends on what Kojima was intending to do. New directors seem to either make or break the franchise. Also it was an Exclusive PS4, so then again it's not like its something everyone could've of enjoyed had it been finished and released.

Other than a brief time with SH3 the only games I played were 1 and 2, but from what I can tell Silent Hill hasn't been the same (or any good for that matter) for a very long time. The series wasn't his for sure, but it's hard to argue that this in particular was his (and Del Toros) game. And with his track record and from what I read about PT we could safely asume that this would be a pretty unique and interesesting game at the very least. And if that didn't spark a ray of hope in anyone who was there when SH was big before it went downhill I dont know what would. And to be perfectly honest I'm not that big a fan of his work- I didn't play any MGS game newer than 3 (Rising doesn't count since it's not his game) and other than bossfights I felt it was outdated and poorly designed, but I respect it and the guy behind it. It has earned it's place in videogame history. And he was behind Zone of the Enders 2, the magnificent bastard. The industry needs more men like him, who can seemingly do what he wants because his name alone can sell copies. And Konami went and released the guy who just by participating in a project could earn them money. Now they need to seriously get their shit together and release some good games if they don't want to be gobbled up by someone else...

It sucks major balls, Konami is quickly becoming one of my least favorite game developers right up there with Capcom.
If Konami and studios like Konami (such as Capcom) isn't going to give a damn about certain neglected series in their ownership (such as Castlevania,Megaman,Silent Hill etc) than they should do the right thing and just sell those IPs for a big sum to whoever is willing to actually try to put out those games and do it right because this shit is getting ridiculous.
