So basically my question is how do I get the .mod files needed to edit the meshes in 3DS Max. I know the arctool extracts textures and what not but I haven't found any information on how to get the other stuff. I installed the RE6 3DS max script and it's asking for .mod files and I'm entirely sure what those are. Thanks in advance~

The .mod files are with the textures (Example) for Ninja Moira it will be uPl2350\data\chara\pl\pl2300\model\pl2350.mod
But for default Moira it will be uPl2300\data\chara\pl\pl2300_N\model\pl2300.mod

Ah okay that's easy, except instead of there being a .mod in there there's two files one is called pl2203.0026E7FF and the other is pl2203.ctc

Thats odd, Try using the original revelations batch to extract and see if you get the .mod .mrl and .ctc files

Oh I use the arctool to extract. When I drag the .arc to the the batch files nothing happens at all. Could it just be the new batches? I also get this error in the log "Console platform was defined, but this is a PC ARC."

The batch files should create a folder named after the arc file used at the top of the folder that the batch files are in. Are you sure they are not doing that?

The folder is already there so the batch must have replaced the files there. You can check by looking at the files inside and check the "Date Modified" tab to see how new the files are (The batch files don't give much feedback but they do work)

That's what I figured but the .mod file still says pl2203.0026E7FF :/ And I tried copying the tool files to another folder and doing it but it didn't make a folder in the new one either. And this is the error I get when i try to drag the .arc into the .bat.

The "ONLY" released thing by Maliwei was his own 3ds script for RERev2, so if you guys don't even check what you're talking about, it's better to shut up else than spreading disinformation. Arctool is the one that we (obvioulsy) already have here, as well as its own batch scripts, so NO "NEW" arctool there... About your "problem", zachillios, it's really a small problem, use the RE6 script else than the REV2 (or REV) one... You'll have the exact same file but with the right extension. You could even obtain the same goal just renaming the file from .0026E7FF to .mod (but remember to rename both the file AND its name into the .arc.txt file (for the later recompression). The only thing to remember then (as Fluffy said somewhere...) is that if you extract an .arc with a script, it's better to use the same one to repack it later. Sometimes some of the files are renamed right with a batch script and not with another, but the binary results (at least for ALL the files i checked) it's exactly the same, it's just arctool.exe that does not have EVERY SINGLE extensions recorded with the different parameters, but itìs only a problem with the name of the file, and not at all with its content.

Thanks both of you guys! So with the new script I was able to get into 3DS max just fine and what not. I have another question however, after watching a few of the Face editing tutorials on here I'm still a little lost in the dark on how I'd do something simple like thin a nose, or resize some lips. I tried doing it through the scale tool and that made for some pretty.... terrifying results so to speak. Thanks in advance!
