Hi guys,
The purpose of this thread is really to gauge how much interest (if any) there would be for a speedrunner add-on for atom0s's REHDHook wrapper. I have been trying to get into speedrunning the game recently, but I hate the fact that automatic splits are not yet supported in LiveSplit. So, because I'm both too lazy and stupid to remember to press a button to trigger manual splits, I started thinking about how I could create an add-on for REHDHook with automatic split support. It immediately became apparent that triggering when you acquire specific items would be simplest way to achieve automatic splitting functionality. The add-on therefore currently supports both manual splits and item-based automatic splits.
Screenshot:
The user interface shown in the above screenshot is fully customizable.
The add-on currently supports the following commands/features:
/sr.new - Start new splits configuration.
/sr.close - Close current splits configuration.
/sr.save - Save current splits configuration to file.
/sr.load - Load current splits configuration from file.
/sr.add - Add manual or item-based split to current splits configuration.
/sr.remove - Remove last split from current splits configuration.
/sr.split - Record time for current split (and display difference in comparison to previous time).
/sr.undo - Revert the effects of /sr.split (used for reversing accidental splits).
/sr.reset - Reset time for all splits in current split configuration.
/sr.title - Set title for current split configuration.
/sr.show - Show addon UI.
/sr.hide - Hide addon UI.
If you would like to get your hands on this add-on please leave a reply to submit your interest. If at least a handful of people are interested then I'm willing to go the extra mile to perform the necessary testing (and bugfixing) and produce an adequate amount of documentation for a release of the add-on. Feedback and constructive criticism would also be much appreciated.
EDIT: I forgot to add - many thanks to atom0s for creating REHDHook and enabling me to write this add-on, even if it is only for my own personal use.
