I would like to know does the mods for the original version of RE4 work on the steam version and how do you install them?Thanks in advances.

The mods for the two versions are incompatible. To install mods in hd version just make a backup of original files and replace them with new modded ones. Best regards my friend.

How can I mod the Steam version. What kind of programms I have to use and how?
I would like to reskin Del Lago for instance.

Ok my friend. Here is my Christmas gift for you :
1- First download these two modding packs :
Modding Pack 1
Modding Pack 2
2- Use LFS Tool from any of the above packs to decompress a texture archive in "ImagePackHD"/"ImagePack" folder of RE4 UHD. You'll then get the exact uncompressed texture pack in *.pack/*.pack.yz2 format.
3- Use YZ2 Tool from the first modding pack to extract the textures inside uncompressed texture pack from step 1.
4- Edit the textures and then repack them again using YZ2 Tool.
5- Make a backup of the original texture pack you wanted to edit and replace it with the new one(copy the new texture pack to "ImagePackHD"/"ImagePack" folder of RE4 UHD and remove/move the original one)

Thanks alot for your help. I downloaded the two modspacks and tried to find the texture archives
in the ImagePackHD folder. But here´s a problem. When I open the folder through the programm, nothing appears.
Would you be so kind and explain me step 2 for dummies =(

try this step by step.
\Resident Evil 4\BIO4\ImagePackHD go here and get a yz2.lfs from your preference, like 01000008.pack.yz2.lfs this is leon no jaquet
then put it in a folder together the quickbeans and re4 script
now run quickbeans and choose re4 scrit first. and after this in second tab choose 01000008.pack.yz2.lfs then in the last where you would like to save it.
now the file before called 01000008.pack.yz2.lfs, is only 01000008.pack.yz2 now take this archive and put together the yz2 tool and run the unpack.bat
now you will have a folder called 01000008 with the textures inside, after edit all just run repack all.bat
now you will have a archive called 01000008.pack delete the old 01000008.pack.yz2.lfs and paste your!
i am not even american and trying to writte a tutorial this is hilarious!

Is it possible to swap character models on this as I found a Claire CVX Model on here but its for Ada but I would like to change it to Leon normal for I can play as Claire in the main game.

But I´m stuck again... I´m trying to reskin "Del Lago" and took the 2f000000.pack.lfs file. Is it the right one?
If yes...There are 48 TGA-Files of Del Lago and the Orca from the White Hell Mod only contains two big TGA files and a single PMD file.
So what I have to do with the two TGA and the one PMD?
If no...What´s the right one?
I´m sorry for bothering you guys, but I´ve never modded a game before, so please be patient with me
