I tried a few things and sadly nothing seemed to work. Curiously, I put in Nero's NM and MM files back in and the results were... interesting. See the difference? There isn't any. I'm thinking our problem isn't in the NM and MM files. I think the answers are either in the MRL or the MOD files.

Textures has anything to do with the mod and the mrl is only a way to tell the mod what to get so it has anything to do with that problem lol. The problem is the way the MM and NM are compressed. Those tex files are compressed with a newer format of ati1 and 3dc because those formats have been around for a while and there are tools to compress them but this DMC4 SE seems to have been using new codes. If JTeghius Kittius really wants to make those files work I don't see the point lol I have a theory. Let me check if it will work and I'll let you know lol. Hi mate first of all I want to apologize if I may offended you in any way lol sometimes I come to strong towards some people for obvious reasons. Second It is my pride to be called a modder because I still feel like a newbie lol but thanks to this forum for giving me the opportunity to grow as a modder now thanks to you for taking some time trying to work on the tex files lol It was a nice try to try to copy the headers but that won't work at the time of compression because of some missing commands and lines on the tools lol now the NM or normal map won't affect the mod in any big noticeable way at least not that much if looking for details now the MM it is another story if you mess with this file it won't work or it will cause the mess you see in your pics lol when you said you used the original and then Rachel's and it was the same problem it is not the case you see DMC4 SE uses files like this x.bm xx.MM xxx.NM now if you port a new model your textures will be like this Y.bm yy.MM and yyy.NM so if you modify one texture you will have to modify all 3 of them or you will have some problems but the real issue is with the MM file because it is the one that causes those dark spots in game. I am currently working on some trail and error kind of thing if this works out I will share the inffo. otherwise it will be obsolete so I won't bother lol. Thanks mate It's fine, I didn't mean for my message to seem like a retaliation of some kind. If I'm reading right, when a model is modified, aspects of the textures are modified, too? If that's the case, that's different from previous RE games. I'll try a few things on my end, see if I can figure something out.

but its available for you and others ? Hi mate no need to get like this. We are beta testing this crap and it has so many details. This has many bugs that cannot be fix at the moment. Only nero and dante are completely modifiable but that is it. Then we have an issue with the textures so it is a mess right now. Calm down everything will be fine. Thanks To be fair, I don't condone releasing broken work that people will just complain about. But I also don't condone insidious actions like these that might impair the general progress of modding the game; Having the mod only be applicable to Dante and Nero is a very minor issue, it doesn't take a genius to know how to swap the Dante/Nero model over another player before beginning the model import. So that leaves the issue of the MM texture not showing up. Well that's a major visual issue but in the grand view of a mod's progress, the MM texture really isn't the bulk of the work. So instead of holding off people's entire mod progression for such a tiny issue which honestly has nothing to do with the script you're working on, maybe you should share your progress and give other people a reason to be working on fixing this MM issue too.
Trying to handle it all by yourself for whatever reason (forum popularity maybe?) is no reason good enough for impeding the general mod progress of the game. (Even if you are doing more than anybody else around here)
