i got a quadcore 3 ghz and 8gb ram and a decent graphics card etc. but with the mods installed the game gets very slow sometimes at specific spots e.g. last boss, last skiing section etc. any tips?

Not your problem dude.
It's that damn old and un optimized game engine's problem.

thanks for the reply, so it's really Crapcom still  i didnt want to believe the bad ports stories but after some games on steam i can admit they are not awful but bad...
