Hi, after a lot of trial and error and searching around, I finally got re6 ps3 to load other skins. This guide particularly was the most useful www.ps3hax.net/showthread.php?t=68080 in which I followed the instructions closely. The only file I edited was uPlTex0100_0 - Helena Tall Oaks. I used existing pc .tex ---> .dds files to edit the .dds files for the ps3. The following images is the result of me editing the body,shirt,vest tex files using the nude mod tex files(pc version) Sure, its not a clean, legit skin, but the fact that it works on the ps3 has gotten me looking forward to getting a successful skin. Also, I'm a complete newbie, so could anyone explain to me what the MRL files for and any tools to modify and edit (if its something important). I can't find info on it anywhere.

MRL files are "material" files. I don't think there are many tools for editing them, but for the most part you can leave them alone.

"so could anyone explain to me what the MRL files for and any tools to modify and edit (if its something important" .mrl controls where the textures are taken from For example: pl0670.mrl is from uPl06AdaOmake01 It basically gets the the textures from: uPl06AdaOmake01\data\chara\pl\pl0600\model So naturally say for Leon's head, his head .mrl will get the textures from: uPl00HeadLeonAsia\data\chara\pl\pl0000\model etc etc
