Update : its not the hex edit, its the UDAS tool, if if I only un- and repack the core.udas without any changes to the files the PC hangs upon game start.
Will have to look for other tool or older version I guess
No matter whether fully 'nulling' one of the EFF's in the udas file or just making a single byte change (overwriting not changing file length/size) in e.g. core_27.UWF, upon clicking start game there is just a black screen, CPU heats up but nothing happens, only way to get PC to respond is press off button and then quickly cancel out the shut down.
Everytime, no exception.
Maybe I'm doing something terribly wrong with HxD editor but am pretty careful.
Using Emoose's app to extract the LSF then UDAS Tool to extract and repack the core.udas.
Anyone else have this problem ?
I would like to try the invisible HUD tweak from 1st link and am following guide in 2nd link to try and reduce laser dot size (there is a mod but only for HD Project which I'll start later)
