nintendo direct showed a bunch of things here's a quick-ish rundown!
8p smash has been officially confirmed, mewtwo confirmed as special PROMOTIONAL character to be added in 2015. AKA YOU NEED TO OWN BOTH GAMES 3DS AND WIIU TO GET MEWTWO! board game smash thing confirmed (leaked by amazon... thanks guys.... (sarcasm)) the mode is called smash tour and features miis, a bunch of battles, collecting fighters to use in battles as your stocks and also has the stat boosting mechanic like in smash run.
angry bi.... TARGET BLAST! is also confirmed to be in the wiiU version
the stadium modes now also have multiplayer. so you can play all star, classic, multiman-smash, trophy rush, and homerun contest in multiplayer.
the final boss of classic mode gets an extra form on the wiiU
(leaked by amazon... thanks guys.... (sarcasm)) stage builder returns! you can draw a stage shape on the wiiU gamepad. (penis shaped stages, penis shaped stages everywhere....)
online tournaments like MK8 but with brackets
a lot of transferable connectable dizamafizzle i dunno. 3ds as controller is confirmed too
amiibo stuffs (already known like leveling them and stuffs). mp stuff.
resolution stuff the game is 60fps in 1920x1080..
music being at least like 4x as much as 3ds version. almost all 3ds music is in wiiU too...
special miiverse stage. with miiverse messages flaoting in the background. (aka: this gunna be penis stage)

there's a stage that is multi layer. so foreground and background type thing. this is a donkey kong country returns (i think, i know it's a DK) stage

- Mario Kart 8 stage confirmed ((another) mario circuit),
- wuhu island stage confirmed,
- big ass kirby super star stage confrimedcalled: the great cave offensive,
- new stage called "wrecking crew" (no idea what this is from)
- MIIverse aka going-to-be-penis-drawings-everywhere-stage (with some amazing art in between, and some really shit stick figure doodles)
ridley is in wiiU like the luchador on earthbound stage on 3ds. so that sucks.. because to have it on your side is OP as fuck... HE'S NOT PLAYABLE SUCK IT UP!

Palutena's temple will have "codecs" when playing as pit. and taunting down. star fox stages will also have codec calls...
Gaur plains on wiiU has metal face stage hazard (pick that stage without omega form when playing against me and i will stab you! I HATE STAGE HAZARDS! same goes for pyrosphere, and wily castle, or any other freaking stage with stage hazards.... I HATE STAGE HAZARDS OK!!!)
