So, I have no home computer at the moment, and am able to install and play with a bunch of mods from Nexus and Patreon creators for RE5, usually dealing with Fluffy mod manager. Super happy to stumble upon this site, but I have no idea how to deal with .arc files on the Steamdeck, and was wondering if there was an east way to install these, or even make them compatible with Fluffy so the manager reads the files and I can keep easier track of them all?
Also, for things like character mods, I see tons of great models that are specified for Mercenaries. I guess I’m one of those weirdos that hates mercenary mode in the series and actually loves these games strictly for their single player campaigns. Is using these for story mode simple or possible(like playing as Excella over Sheva in story mode)?
Thanks for anyone’s time reading and replying!

Hi! Idk if this info is way too late, but modding RE5 is pretty easy on steamdeck! You just need to acquire the files you want, and make note of where they need to go. (Characters ARC files go in NativePC_MT>Image>Archive for example. Most mods come ready in a NativePC_MT folder and for those you just drag and drop into the games root folder)
-Download what you want on your PC, and transfer files to Steamdeck -Locate where your game is installed (Steamapps folders) -Drop the modded files and replace them within the appropriate game folder
You can even do this directly on your Steamdeck by launching in Desktop mode! Since the files directly replace files and don't need to be inserted in interesting ways like newer RE games, its very easy.
