Most of the basic steps are the same as in this guide : residentevilmodding.boards.net/thread/7864/head-model-swapping-detailed-steps
This guide is for swapping voice sound effects only, e.g. the voices a character makes when they take damage, the breathing sounds, etc. Make sure to backup all .arc files you are modifying first.
The voice files you are looking for can be found in two places, either the UplStreamVoice .arc files in nativePCNext\arc\DX9NEXT or nativePCNext\sound\se\pl. The PL numbers you need depend on the character you want and can be found here : residentevilmodding.boards.net/thread/3587/re-rev2-arc-list. Note that some raid stage characters like Neil are located in the dat/DLC folders instead.
Lets say you want to swap Jill's voice files to someone else. They are located in nativePCNext\sound\se\pl\pl5200\source\eng or nativePCNext\sound\se\pl\pl5200\source\jap depending on the language you want to use. If you want to swap them to Neil, you would need to extract Neil's .arc file from the episode 3 DLC folder, then add the voice files to : uPl3110\sound\se\pl\pl3100\source\eng and rename all the files to use pl3100 instead of pl5200. I recommend using something like Advanced Renamer to batch rename the files quickly.
You will also need to copy and rename two files from nativePCNext\sound\se\pl\pl5200, snd_pl5200_v_eng.sbkr and snd_pl5200_v_eng.srqr. Rename them to pl3100 and place them inside of uPl3110\sound\se\pl\pl3100. These two files seem to affect the volume of the voices, i noticed that if i did not add them, the swapped voices would sound much louder, e.g. Jill's breathing swapped to Neil would sound much louder.
You can also replace the sound files in the cloth folder and other files such as snd_pl3100.07437CCE, but i did not see a difference personally.
Do NOT add and rename any .aser files to the folder, for some reason this causes the body model to become invisible.
After adding and renaming the voice files, you will need to add the file paths to uPl3110.arc.txt so that ArcTools can repack them properly. One easy way to do this is to hold shift, select all the files, right click -> copy as path. Paste it to somewhere else and remove the excess bits, you only want the relative file path. They should look something like this :
sound\se\pl\pl3100\source\eng\pl3100_vo_struggle3.xsew
sound\se\pl\pl3100\source\eng\pl3100_vo_struggle4.xsew
sound\se\pl\pl3100\snd_pl3100_v_eng.sbkr
sound\se\pl\pl3100\snd_pl3100_v_eng.srqr
sound\se\pl\pl3100\source\eng\pl3100_vo_struggle4.xsew
sound\se\pl\pl3100\snd_pl3100_v_eng.sbkr
sound\se\pl\pl3100\snd_pl3100_v_eng.srqr
Add them to the top of the .arc.txt file and save it, then drag the folder onto pc-rev2.bat to repack them. Copy and paste them into the original .arc location, in this case, the episode 3 DLC folder. If done correctly, it should either take effect immediately or when you swap to another character and swap back.
