New trainer introduction
Alright guys, in this tutorial i'll show you the right way to change melees without crashes the game.
I took 2 days testing if the game will crash even I switching the melees like every time. This tutorial can be longer because I have a lot of things to explain.
Please read the instructions and do exactly what i'm saying, if you follow all correctly you will able to use any melee available in the game without problems.
To edit the melees in a simple way without needing cheat engine we going to use a trainer.
The trainer was developed by qingsheng and i've used his trainer a lot, so I have a pretty good idea of what works and what doesn't.
The main question is:
Why does the game crash when we switch melees?
That's because we need those melees coopering with udas, otherwise you only can use combined melees, like Thurst Punch with Chikyo Changi (Wesker Moves) or Serial Kicks with Knee (Krauser Moves). The problem is, sometimes the melee action will apper with "Fan Kick" the game will not understand and going to crash if you try to activate the action by kicking the ganado.
qingsheng provided those modified udas but its now outdated, making some incompatibility with new versions of HD Project.
I updated those files for the last version of HD Project and the results you can see in the video below.

HOW TO DO IT
There's 2 folders in the pack, Em and ImagePackHD, all files is from new version of HD Project with qingsheng things combined. If you want to adapt the files for your own models (Ada all costumes, Krauser, Wesker and Hunk) you need to build your model over this files.
Pay close attention now and follow every step.
1. Open your game, start a new game or load your current save, press esc to pause the game and open the trainer.
DON'T OPEN YOUR GAME WITH THE TRAINER ALREADY OPEN otherwise your game will crash.
Don't open the trainer in the main menu, its essential that you enter the campaign first, otherwise the game will crash when you try to use the melee.
2. The trainer will open on OTHER tab, since i'm already using companion dll i'll disable all this features already checked it, I don't want the trainer doing something that dll already does.
2. Now its important. Go to MELEE tab and click over NECK BROKEN in High melee change, the sub tab will show up, select again the same NECK BROKEN. Do this with KNEE as well. After that go to the bottom left corner, select the character are you using, check lock and click in Character swap repair. Then finally you can select whatever melee you want because the game will not crash.
If you don't do this, for example going straight for the melee you want, the game will crash when you try to kick.
Why? I don't know, maybe qingsheng the only person can answer that.
Look at the gif below, you have to do identical.
You can explore others functions for melees like Wesker Power or increase the Melee Power, works fine in my tests. Imitate RE6 melee will able to activate the melee by shooting on any enemy location other than head. Random melee don't seems to work.
Others functions works great with me, also you can choose the costume in this trainer or in the raz0r, its up to you.
I think its worth mention it. The Serial Kicks (Krauser High Melee) will broke the physic hair a little bit, it back to normal after each checkpoint.
To conclude, the character swap now seems to work pretty good, I test playing with Ada until the castle without any problems, but of course you need to prepare your game first, its another case and things for another tutorial, just for you know.
