Hello guys.
I'm trying to modify the handgun sound with xact but when I load, the game is on black screen. i thought it was the wav problem but i tried compiling without changing and still black... what am i doing wrong? thank you

before compiling go to wavebanks and change Streaming to Memory, then compile.
The Memory will keep the file loaded and Streaming is for big files like bio4bgm, they are requested from the exe when needed.

dont replace the xsb, keeps the original. only replace the xwb which have your custom sounds.

Hello I'm new here in this forum.
I have a problem I would like to put this soundtrack (RE8 Karl Heissenberg mercenaries theme) into RE4 Merc but the game wouldn't start anymore.. can someone make me a simple tutorial so that you can understand how to change it into these XWB files . sry my english is not that good. thanks =)

I first downloaded a (youtube) music in WAV format then compressed the file online.(renamed this file as 00000001)
I then unpacked the bio4bgm file with xwb so that I have the WAV files.
called the project bio4bgm and underneath it the wave as bgm.
then i added the downloaded wav file and ran it on build and set it to streaming.
then added the finished bio4bgm to the resi 4 directory..
I had all the files (wav files) in the wave bank beforehand. Then the game wouldn't start or there was no sound.

Then the game wouldn't start or there was no sound. alright, I don't know you read above but i also mentioned that you cannot use the xsb generated by xact, you have to use the default from the game, only replace the xwb, otherwise the game will be with no sound. please check this first, before we look for another solution

I replaced the xwb hm..  now I have the next problem program does not start anymore. I deleted the program and downloaded it again, it doesn't work anymore. (would you have the same problem?) :/
