I think the laser color might be configured in the config.ini file, but I have never tried this. You can search of the file in:
C:\Users\USERNAME\Documents\My Games\Capcom\RE4
The attributes for the laser are in these values, which are a mix a Red, Green, Blue, and Alpha (for transparency):
laserR 255
laserG 0
laserB 0
laserA -1
You can also change the laser color using RE4Tweaks

maybe look for FF 00 00 00 or something like FF 00 00 12 where the green and blue values are really low and the alpha isn't all the way up. I don't know. YOu basically have to null entire lines that contain FF XX XX XX until it disappears.
Its time consuming to edit the core because it requires a game restart each time we edit the file.
