This is regarding Ultimate Trainer, I’m not referring to any issues regarding the editing of LMT or ARC files.
When using the Ultimate Trainer to swap melee moves around, in this case, making the head melee instead use a Front Finisher, it works on all characters in all modes… except mercenaries reunion. For some reason, this function of the trainer seems to turn off in that mode, would anyone happen to know why or how to fix?
I tested it primarily using Jill and Josh, who should’ve used Flip Kick and ChokeSlam respectively, but instead used High Kick and Hammer Blow. Additionally, Leg Front Melee was changed to Licker Counter Attack, which is the same animation for most characters, but 600 damage. This too, did not work.
Note: Melee Swap (like taunt or knife being a melee) and animation swap (like Chris using Wesker's moves) DO work. But melee move swap (a character using their own moves but at different times) does not.
I have trainer patches installed, no edited ARC’s, Gold Edition on Steam. I am playing solo.
At first I thought it could be the trainer having issues with LMT files does to reunion characters having different ones, and when entering reunion the trainer “switches mode”, but reunion character melee move swap also doesn’t work. Both regular and reunion characters DO work in any other mode.

On further testing, I’ve found that it works for some move slots, and not others. In particular, it does not seem to work for “Head/Flash” and “Leg Front”. Other slots seem to be fine. This is consistent across all characters, so it doesn’t seem to be a quirk involving where their reunion partner move is.
