When looking at the files of RE6 for the nintedo switch on homebrew, I found that the file directory was pretty much the same(with the exception of nativeNXx64 and arc/NX instead of arc/DX9). So I tried to used a costume mod for Ada by just renaming the file directory to fit for the switch version via RomFS The directory for the mod is as follows: (Titleid)/RomFS/nativeNXx64/arc/NX When I booted up the game, though, the menu for Ada was stuck in a infinite loading screen. I think it might be because the files inside the .arc files for the Switch version are formatted differently but I'm not too sure. If anyone knows what the issue might be, then please, share it with me.

If I were to hazard a guess, I would say that reformatting/naming of things inside the .arc files would be a correct assumption. On top of that I doubt Capcom would have ported the game over without *heavy* optimization of the game's assets, it may be possible that a file limit was put in place to make sure the switch hardware didn't get overloaded. IE texture sizes being reduced/compressed, model geometry being simplified, etc etc. Of course I'm just talking out of my ass, I haven't got a clue how the game functions, but those are just my theories. It could also be the way the game interacts with costumes now, since the switch version (frustratingly) is the only version to allow you to use alternate costumes in the campaign. Which would mean an expanded shader pool, and requires the campaign to have both the EX costume and normal outfit loaded simultaneously for easy swapping through cutscenes. It could be that there's some kind of dependency between the models that we don't know about. Anyway, those are my two cents. I am not a developer, nor do I know how the game works, it's just kind of how I imagine things would be screwed up when trying to mod the switch version. I hope that you get your answer some day though. ^^

The format of all files are different on switch, despite having the same extension models and other files were updated, and textures are compressed with ATI format now, they moved the game to an updated version of the engine too. Same with RE5. so, sadly mods from PC won´t work.

Ahh, I just figured that out. When I extracted the arc file using ARCtool I found out there was a .2749C8A8, which doesn't exist in any other version of the game. Lol.
What goes through Capcom's head when they create these convoluted file structures?
