We all expected a new Duke game, but the whole thing was frozen because of the lawsuit and all ... so the awesome team that brought us last year Rise of the Triad ( that ain't popular enough btw >: O ) decided to not just wait 'till everything's done, and changed their project to create a new IP. It's based on 3D Realms' old concept arts and stories, BombShell. The game will have this name even. Bombshell was going to be in DNF, we can tell from 1998's old trailer, but i think Interceptor's CEO said something about another game but in the end she wasn't intergrated in it or whatevs. She was that blond girl that was going to be Duke's sidekick. She was supposed to be a "tough girl", and that sort of thing ;P So Interceptor grabbed the idea, and turned it into what you should be able to see in the website
She has now brown hair ( better :> ) a bionic arm, because she lost one and her whole team during a big accident.
In the game, you'll get to kick alien's butt in different planets, the game will be a top down RPG and i don't know if we'll even see Duke Nukem once, but it's unlikely because Interceptor and 3D Realms are still fighting for the IP.
My personnal opinion is that the game looks dark and pretty from the screens, now i'm not very used to play top down games like this, Diablo 3 bored me fast for example. If the gameplay is explosive and fast paced though, i'll be all for it !
Oh and BTW, John St John, official Duke voice ( and other characters that you probably know too ;P ) will do the game's main villain voice ! The guy is awesome and always do an awesome job, i can't wait to hear him
