Why do I feel like this game is slowly being forgotten by the modders? Don't RE7 and Village share the same 1st person perspective, the same RE Engine? Then why Village has more mods than 7? Is it because Village is an open-world game while 7 isn't? Is 7 too old for the trend? The mommy milker and stuffs? 7 has too few mods, comparing to its successor.
I posted this thread not because I want the modders to be more creative on RE7, it's all up to you guys, y'all are the best, but I feel like 7 doesn't get any love anymore.

Interest in modding RE7 was never there. Modding for the game didn't begin until RE2 released because no-one was interested in modding 7.
I have always hoped that it would become popular later, but I have given up hope now.

8 has more to offer than 7, in my opinion.

Personally the reason why I haven't tried to mod re7 is because it requires 3ds max which is a paid subscription program. If there was a free tool to import models to the mesh.32 format or change the animations outside of 3ds max I feel there would be a bit more re7 mods then what we have now.

Another important reason for the low interest is the first person view. Basically, modding most often centered around the character you play as, you could watch him completely on the screen and enjoy new costumes, appearance, another character. Unfortunately, the first person view doesn't bring such interest and desire, because you always see only the hands, so it doesn't make much sense to try for this.

For what it's worth the third person script has been updated many times even as recent as this year and works much better then it did last year. There has been some mods like adding Ethan's head back to his body and a playable RE2 remake Leon mod due to that. That's why I made my request for the rest of the characters heads to be added back to their bodies.
