So I'm trying to edit some weapon skins, while using this video as reference:
I have followed the instructions to the letter (using photoshop, getting the Nvidia DDS plugin) but it seems no matter what it is I do, the skins that I edit seem to have these strange white lines across them. I am compressing them via BC3. I am using BC3 because DXT5 isn't on the list, and this is apparrently the closest thing to it (the NVIDIA exporter says this is the same as DXT5 interpolated alpha).
If there is anyone who knows about skinning that can help, it would really help me out.

Found my answer here. It turns out you're supposed to save BM and MM files as DXT 1, not DXT 5
