Resident Evil 6 QHD / 60FPS+ Upscaled Pre-Rendered Cutscenes

Little bit of an introduction. I have been upscaling pre-rendered cutscenes for few other games like The Evil Within, Tomb Raider and such. This may have been my first upscales that I am using frame interpolation software alongside.
Now the game is using WMV (Windows Media Video) files, which are outdated in the current age of video codecs (due to many limitations). The game uses WMV3 codec, which is bitrate efficient compared to older WMV codecs alongside being able to withstand slightly higher output resolution. Finding a MP4 to WMV3 converter was hard as 99% of converters only used WMV2.
However, I think the game is using an old version of Windows Media Player to playback these movie files. Because if I were to upscale a video into 4K which playback properly in WMV file on VLC, etc. it will lag within the game. Either that or the use of WMP is designed to utilise a single CPU core, which explains the video desync.
This is why there are 5 quality options I have created within this upscale. These are:
- 1440p @ 30 FPS
- 1080p @ 60 FPS
- 1080p @ 30 FPS
- 720p @ 120FPS
- 720p @ 60FPS
720p files have been downsampled from 1440p. Therefore, 720p will look better than the original WMV files.
The upscale is hosted on Nexus Mods, due to lack of Google Drive space. Hope you enjoy using this upscales as much as I do. I have packaged them to work with FluffyQuack's Mod Manager.
