UDAS TOOL BY MARIOKARTN64 With the issues some people were experiencing using the Son of Persia UDAS tool I reached out to MarioKartN64 to see if he could create a tool that might help others. It seems that the root of the problem with the Son of Persia UDAS tool was that it could not properly repack the UDAS files from the 1.10 version of the game. I reached out to SoP to fix this, and he said he would, but he is a very busy individual so I sought out extra help from MarioKartN64. So this brings me to say that we now have another working tool. I have tested this with kTeo and everything seems to be working fine, but if anyone encounters any issues with this new tool, please post your findings here in this thread. Please include the game version you are running. The tool is open source which means anyone can decompile/recompile this for use. Users would need to use codeblocks for editing which requires windows libraries, from Windows10, using gcc , gcc.gnu.org/ GNU Compiler Collection. USAGEIt should be known that MarioKartN64 did his best to keep the usage as similar to SoP's tools to keep things congruent with workflow. 1 - decompress the .lfs version of the UDAS file with the LFS tools included in the toolkit HERE2 - place the UDAS (the new one without the .lfs extension) in a working directory with the tool (and all the files that came with it) 3 - use the .bat files to extract/repack. NOTESThe only main difference between SoP's version of the tool is that the .SND block of data that was extracted with SoP's tool is now contained in a .das file that is extracted one level up in the working directory. If users want to swap out .das files for mods that require sound stuff, this is still possible with this new tool. Happy Modding !

Awesome - have just tested and confirmed the following from a clean install of the Steam version:
1. Can unpack and repack r101.udas via 'UDAS Tool by MARIOKARTN64', launch game and can access the Village assembly area without hangs or crashes, plays fine. 2. Can unpack and repack r101.udas via 'UDAS Tool by MARIOKARTN64' and then replace the Yellow Herb in the room with a Killer7 (after applying the Raz0r Ultimate Trainer Companion DLL + Master ITA file) via SoP's ITA tool, launch game and can access the Village assembly area without hangs or crashes and pick up and use the Killer7, plays fine.
Should stress I haven't had the chance to clear out the room or proceed further/test other areas, but looks good so far.

If you unpack the files within the UDAS and copy them to another directory, and repack the original and extract again, you will see that the files are identical. There is no degradation of the files, so the other Son of Persia tools will work flawlessly.
What game version are you running by the way?

Excellent, this is just what I needed! This works much better than the old UDAS tool!
