Can someone make tutorial how to remove mesh in 3dsmax please...?

1) import your model
2) select what mesh you want remove, and hide every mesh you don't want
3) convert the mesh to EDITABLE MESH and decrease the size to hide this object
4) apply SKIN modifier and just add the bone name 0
5) just export the modified mesh

some mesh you try to export don't have skin modifier with bone 0
