Among the many items in Resident Evil 2, you can find many items marked # Rejected #.
These items are not used by the game and most of them have no textures.
Most of these items are cut out items for puzzles that are not included in the game.
These cut objects cannot be "merged" with other cut objects, even when it is obvious that they could be combined before.
Some cut items have a marker for opening, the "Space" button on the PC version.
However, for non-valid reasons, when you click on the "Space" button, nothing happens
Example: sm73_110_hourglasskey01a
In this item you can clearly see the "Virgin Stone", but you can not remove it because the "Space" button does not work.
Other Example sm73_113_redjewelrybox01a
In the game you can find only the blue box
Most likely you could insert "Red Jewel" into this item, but the game does not allow them to be combined.
Example 3: sm73_712_attachecase01a
Only the briefcase responds to pressing the "Space" button, after which it will disappear without leaving anything in the inventory of the game
It is very interesting and strange at the same time that the developers cut out the ability to combine objects even for unused objects in 1-shot and R.P.D. demo
As you can see, the “Blue Herb” obtained in the demo version cannot be combined with other herbs.
