It would really be awesome if someone could create a mod replacing Jill's footsteps sounds with a barefoot version, or even provide help on doing it myself. I am just getting into modding and I'm not sure where to even begin with this.

I'd be all for this, but unless you had another mod to go with it, that showed her in bare feet, it would be kind of awkward.

Just few words from RE2.. If is same as RE2 Remake. In RE2 remake is whole pack with common sounds (footsteps, glass, all rooms sfx's, and etc..) is few 100's sfx's (can't remember maybe almost close to 1000), many of them you can't even identify what they for (i also mean those 1 second effects, is step on something, or just enviromental sound.. and is a lot of them). Also some footsteps is in other sound banks.. I cancel idea of 1998 zombies/characters footsteps sounds and not sure how this handled in RE3, is just was no reason to check them. And btw RE3 have other encryption on voice files, it possible even those could be encrypted.

2 years later ...
... I'm using a graphics mod with barefoot Jill. Would love a barefoot sound replacement. The original Dead Rising replaced Frank West's footsteps with barefoot sounds when he took his shoes off! I'm sure it can be done here too!
Anyway no expectations but the demand is still out there!
