Hey all! Around the time RE3R officially got released worldwide. I decided to start on a project to remaster all of Resident Evil 2's 1998 FMVs in 4K. As you would expect, this project took several days to complete because it had to go frame-by-frame from each video. All of these FMVs are from the Biohazard 2 Sourcenext PC port upscaled into 4K using AI machine learning. These 4K FMVs do work for the port, but unfortunately there are limitations because of the quality (mainly the video desyncing from the audio). For those interested I've provided info about what program was used and a full download of the 4K FMVs if you'd like to view them all separately. The download is quite large, though. (17GB) There are also original and 4K comparisons shown at the end (timestamped in the description). Best to view the video in 4K to see the differences clearly. I hope you enjoy. (I'm working on another project as I write this, it might take a bit to finish. ) 30 fps version 60 fps verison:

Results are great, good work! And about subtitles.. is there any possibilities e.g. try upscale old low quality FMV's (or some way use Seamless HD) - and upscalled OG FMV's make compare to upscalled SN FMV's to make SN FMV's without subtitles?! Damn 1 subtitle line is sooo many work and ton of time to remove frame by frame with photoshop. Like was edited in RE3 Restoration Project (PC). E.g.: just removing 1 subtitle line is ~65 images to edit with PhotoShop: imgur.com/E0EQxWg

This project took a couple of days to put together so I'm probably gonna wait before I try anything else. I don't think Resident Evil 2 has a movie browser either. So recording the FMVs on Dolphin are gonna require me to play the game again.
