As you well know I'm new to these boards. I made my first mod last week in more than ten years. Even then it's a stretch to call it a mod. I've been using mods over a decade now but with some of the great work done by certain modders on RE2R I decided to try and get back into it with RE3R.
Some things I dislike or find weird (yes I know this might cause a mob to come after me): Nude mods for the sake of seeing a girl naked, skimpy mods for the sake of seeing up a girl's skirt, barefoot mods, those ridiculous proportion mods that one lunatic called "more realistic". Really any fetish mod that basically turns the game into a porno or makes the immature giggle. I just think it's tasteless and there are better mods to make.
I'm more of a practical, realism, lore, enhancement, attention to detail person. I'd rather see a re-imagined S.T.A.R.S. outfit for Jill, one with her in a plate carrier and duty pants rather than a bikini. Things that make the game more realistic, or bring it closer to the lore. If it's more realistic then it's more believable, if it's more believable it's more relatable. I do enjoy some joke mods but after what RE2R Nexus has become I needed to find a new modding site. One that has more class. So far these boards have been a refreshing change from the soft-core site formally known as Nexus. Really I wasn't surprised to see some of the best mods & makers on the Nexus are on here. The Jill Battlesuit and HUNK model swap, the various samurai edge models...just to name a few mods.
I'm sure some of you may have guessed, if you saw some of my recent posts, that one of my favorite mods of RE2R was the removal of the campaign hat on the Leon Deputy Sheriff Costume.
Overall I hope to learn and contribute more to the resident evil games.
