Hi everyone,
Disclaimer: I have zero knowledge in modding, game development or how digital artists work. Excuse me for my ignorance.
This might sound like a impossible task but I was wondering if it's possible to have RE2 or RE3 remade in the same style as RE1 remake or RE Zero?
Does the community have the necessary knowledge and expertise to create this? Can it turn into something serious like the fan-made RE2 remake that got stopped by Capcom?
RE remake 2 and 3 by Capcom is great, but I still prefer the old-school style type of RE games. When I replayed RE2 and RE3 on my old psx I frankly enjoyed them more than the recent remakes.

It is definitely possible, but it's not easy and I doubt any modder here would take that challenge because it'd take them years. The only way is to create a fundraiser campaign to hire a team to do it. But I don't know if CAPCOM would be OK with that. I've been thinking about it since the release of RE3 Remake...

It's actually not that hard to do but, the problem is Capcom, They may stop it. An unreal engine 4 Resident evil 2-3 remake isn't that hard to do with reused models and textures and wouldn't really take that long to do because what is needed; we already have But, the best way for a remake to be redone is with mods to RE2R so Capcom won't stop it. They still could but, it's unlikely. The best way is to mod the camera angles to call different angles corresponding to the players position. Then modify the game controls to fit the new camera angles. This can be done, I've talked this over with Fluffy Quack(a very talented modder and well known in the modding community) and we both agree it can be done but, it would take someone dedicated enough to do it.
