Hello everyone, I am new here (and to modding these games) so bear with me.
I am wondering how difficult (if possible) it would be to replace the Resident Evil 2 glock model with the new (more accurate) one from Resident Evil 3 now that the demo for that game is out. I don't mind reading tutorials and doing this myself but I want to make sure it's even possible. Since they are the same engine, would it be as easy as just importing the model from one game into the next?
I have already pre-ordered Resident Evil 3 so I will also have the full game when that releases.
Also, is there a way to modify how many bullets a gun magazine holds for a given weapon? (i.e. making the MP5 hold the correct 30 rounds or the Matilda hold 17)
Thanks!

Yes it's possible to import the model, but the textures are probably all that's really needed, since the actual model is pretty much identical to the one in RE2.
To your second question, no that's not possible as far as I know.

Awesome, thanks! I was playing around with it and it seems the model is a different one. For whatever reason it also has the dot sight on it (that you get from the safe in the RE3 demo) so apparently that is part of the new model and not separate so the game itself turns it on or off depending on whether or not you have obtained the red dot yet.

Oh damn, I forgot about the red dot sight.
I assume the red dot sight textures are apart of the same texture as the rest of the weapon as well then, right? If not then the textures might still work with the RE2 model.

It seems the model is entirely new and with different textures. They must have made an improved model since it is the starting weapon in RE3 vs just a cutscene weapon in RE2. I got it to work with the dot sight...
