Hey everyone, I figured out how to reskin files in Gimp (see the tutorials section) a few weeks ago. At the time I was going to upload some of the experiments I made, but I ended up being very dissatisfied with them -- they did not look good in-game. I decided instead to work on a few different things and upload them all once I got tired of figuring out skinning.
Here is a rar that contains 5 modular reskins that you can apply to Claire.
WHAT IS CONTAINED IN THE RAR:
1.ClaireTankTopClean_Top.rar First up is my attempt at a "clean" tank top. It does have visible seams on the skin which are more obvious in different lighting, but I'm not skilled enough to make it better, and I don't notice it during gameplay anyway. Since this has been a popular request I decided to upload what I have.
This only affects the top of the body -- the tank top itself and the face. You can use whatever jeans reskins you want with this.
2. ClairePantsDarker.rar: darker jeans with a more saturated color, and a slightly modified alpha to give them a subtle sheen.
3. ClairePantsClean.rar: for use with the tanktop if you wish. This is the originial game's clean jeans files put over the "dirty" variants.
4. ClairePantsLighter.rar: lighter-colored jeans.
These jean variants are subtle in screenshots but very obvious in gameplay.
5. ClaireMatteBrownJacket.rar: Altered normal file to eliminate leather shine, replaced leather detail with a denim texture, and changed the color of her jacket to brown.
The below image has the jacket mod with all 3 pants mods, with darker on the left, default in the middle, and lighter on the right.
USAGE: unzip ClaireReskins.rar and extract the .rar files within to the Mods folder of fluffymanager. Run fluffymanager and install as normal. I haven't included screenshots in Fluffymanager.
I may continue to skin at some point, especially to make better versions of the skins I initially posted in the tutorials section (seriously, you don't want them, they look washed out in motion) but I'm burnt out on it now.
Anyone who wants to change these skins or upload elsewhere: go right ahead. These are Capcom's assets, I just recolored and rearranged them. Use these as the basis of your own mods, and make more skins!
edit: these all use the larger "streaming" versions of the files. I tested everything individually in fluffymanager before posting with a hopefully clean slate (uninstalled all other mods as far as I could tell), but I was using a different file setup while making them to test them faster and may have older mods still kicking around in my file structure. Please let me know if you find any bugs with these and I will try to fix them -- though again, I'm pretty burnt out on modding so it might not be super fast.

Thank you for this! It looks fantastic ingame! You somehow managed to minimize the effort of the seams to the best do-able.
You're right: during a play you won't notice any distraction too big and even when standing still and zooming in it's almost flawless.
Damn, the 'denim' attitude of her jacket is way more pleasing for the eyes compared to the usual leather.

Perfect. Now we need a clean Military Outfit in urban camo with a black plate carrier. Do these skins support the natural build up of dirty on the outfit throughout the game?.

Jacket reskin looks a lot like the one F00X did. And that supports the dirt buildup xD

Jacket reskin looks a lot like the one F00X did. And that supports the dirt buildup xD yes, it is similar- these are just things that i did while exploring how to reskin once i figured out how. i decided i should share the results i was happy with rather than keeping them to myself. i posted that one more for the change to the normal which created the matte look than for the color.
speaking of tooling around, i noticed that the clean tank top i posted had a pixel or two remnant of a previous reskin attempt i'd done remaining on the model, so here's a fix for that, along with a version that has a modified mdf and atos file, which removes her cotton undershirt (i.e., makes that part of the model invisible).
and no, i'm not interested in taking 40 hours to edit the dirty versions of the skins sorry

Does this also remove the cotton undershirt for the jacket outfit?
Thanks for the update BTW.

barchester I hope you don't mind but I have been editing your clean tank top reskin, getting rid of all the seams and the caked-on mud in the normal maps. I also gave her clean jeans + booties and skin pores on her skin. I managed to make her neck blend pretty well with the default neck texture of her head too. I will probably upload it to this thread when I'm done These screenshots show it with my Claire Makeup mod

Speaking of the no undershirt version, will you also be improving it as well?

Oh nice! I'm using the no undershirt version of this mod in my current playthrough. Speaking of the no undershirt version, will you also be improving it as well? I'm including it as patches that can be applied to either the clean tank top or the default dirty tank top, but there's not much to improve about that part. It just colors her undershirt transparent in the ATOS file and toggles transparency in the MDF file. Claire Tank Top - CleanCleans up Claire's green tank top outfit. I started with barchester's texture and fixed the texture seams and grimy normal maps by painting over them directly onto the 3D model using Photoshop's Spot Healing Brush and Clone Stamp tools. I matched up the neck texture to the body by using spot healing brush around the neck seam and repeatedly resetting the texture for the head back to default, only keeping + layering on my edits to the body texture. The clean pants, belt and booties were accomplished by editing the MDF to have it look for the textures from Claire's clean red jacket costume she starts the game in, and the skin pores were added by editing the MDF file as well. Claire Tank Top - No Undershirt (Patch)Removes the undershirt from Claire's green tank top outfit. There are two versions: one meant for the clean tank top, and another version meant for the normal dirty tank top, with the main difference between them being the clean pants present in the clean version. Don't install before the Clean Tank Top mod, or the Clean Tank Top will overwrite its transparent undershirt texture. ClaireTankTopClean_Top V2.zip - DOWNLOAD HERE

(her Jacket outfit is literally a leather jacket over the top of the tank top outfit)

The removal of the undershirt is a big improvement. Any chance of you being interested in removing the pouches on her belt as well?
