Around 1.5 years ago I was working on a massive cheat table for RE4 UHD and was trying to find out if it was possible to swap enemy types through memory editing but I wasn't able to get it working.
I've just now got back to my little project and and since there was a small update to the steam version sometime earlier this year, I've been busy re-updating some of my addresses.
I've been doing tons of research but I can't seem to find anyone who has swapped enemies this way. I know I can do it through file/hex editing since there is a plethora of fantastic info detailing the process, but I prefer to keep everything relatively simple and messing with files like that can become, well.. messy.
I figure it has to be possible, since there are action replay cheats for the Gamecube version that will swap stuff like cows with Verdugo. Back when I originally started this long ago, I tried a lot of testing and reverse-engineering of the cheats using the Dolphin emulator, but it doesn't play well with Cheat Engine.
Thanks in advance!

Never heard about that.
In old times Cheat Engine was used as Coordinates Pointer for Hexing enemy spawn files, but nobody tried to change enemy spawn via C.E. itself. The reason is simple - it's not profitable. Hexing files makes mods "stable". Cheat Engine is unstable for such things.
I think you're asking "wrong people" here. I do know that japanesse modders tried a lot of crazy things and stuff with console RE4 modding. Maybe you should ask them.
