I severely dislike seeing giant things slung across my character's back when I'm trying to go for nostalgia. I think it works perfectly for the game, but when I'm trying to straight up go classic, it's not something that the first Remake did or that was totally necessary and it's an eyesore to me personally when you have the flamethrower or the shotgun, it's just not the same. Also, why has no one model swapped Kendo or The Forgotten Soldier? Why are they being left out of the fun? If anything that would seem like a viable way to bring back a classic mercenary mode. So many different combinations to choose from there, not sure if the software is harder to crack or what, but it's a shame. Like Kendo into Chris Redfield would be sick, or Kendo into Leon's classic RPD. Also... MQ11 into an MP5, anybody?

Oh wow, no responses? Sorry to try to pull you people away from your 500 useless ass reskins of Leon and Claire to do some real modding. Shit my bad.

Just because you didn't get a response right away is no reason to be a jerk. If someone's interested, they'll let you know. Chill.

Dude, relax. Not many requests are honored because some of them could be close-to-impossible or just really hard to do without getting bugs.
I have a bunch of unanswered requests on here and you don't see me bitching about it.

I think there are several tools/ways to switch DLC (and more) character models already here. This is one but I haven't used it and I also don't know if all of the characters are supported yet. I know that some mods that reskin/mod the clothes of Leon and Claire hide weapons seemingly by default.

Dude, you can easily go ahead and use cheat engine table or a trainer to change into any character imaginable already, without breaking the game. You can also hide weapons from your back with 'em if you want. Being an entitled jerk won't help anyone, starting with you.
So chillax and go check out these awesome tools, that people took time out of their day to make for you to use. You're welcome.

Never been a fan of my character looking like John Rambo haha, though I get the appeal of seeing the weapons on the character's back.
Is there a tutorial for this? I really don't like using Cheat Engine because it's a bit complicated and annoying to go back and forth between the game and the program, but I'm curious!

I'm afraid I don't know if there are any tutorials, but it should be as easy as opening the table and then picking the launched game exe from the list. In the table itself you just either tick the checkmark of the script you want, or change the value you're looking for. For example: Here I have selected to run ignore ammo pouch (reloads the weapon even if you don't have ammo in the inventory) and inf. sub weapons (self explanatory) scripts, as well as the custom character model script, which opens up into further options. I then selected custom character and swapped Leon with HUNK (double click the default value and it will give you a drop down list of characters to select). Custom loadout is basically what weapons will display on your character model (only works with the appropriate model and allowed weapons, so only the knife, LE5, Shotty, MUP and Magnum for HUNK). If you select the character with an incompatible model (i.e. Chris with HUNK's model) the weapons will float underneath the ground when sheathed, making them basically invisible outside of some rare stairs and whatnot. Afaik stance is there for your character to position their arms correctly when holding weapons to prevent clipping through the model, but I'm not 100% sure on that. Play around with it and I'm sure you'll get a hang of it soon and will be able to find the setup that suits you best. I'm afraid there's no working around the need to alt-tab between the game and cheat engine if you want to change things, but outside of simple scripts most things require a save/load cycle to apply anyway. I can only suggest using borderless window mode to cut on alt-tabbing times. There's also this awesome trainer by wilsonso which is much more straightforward and convenient to use, however due to the difference in the method it changes your character models you don't have as much control of your options (no choosing stance/loadout and also works only for the current player character) and can get game breaking issues (e.g. a critical door won't open for you). Both methods will require you to save/load the game before changes are applied to characters. Sorry for the long post, but I hope that can work as a makeshift tutorial for you.

Thanks for the reply! So there is no proper way of making the weapons fully invisible for now if I understand correctly, no big deal! I checked the table and there a couple of cool features in there, like hiding the crosshair with the HUD on. Also I'm familiar with wilsonso's trainer, great stuff in there too

As for your questions: I don't think there is a way currently to make weapons completely disappear when put away, but unless someone figures out a way to do that without weapons becoming invisible (they use the same model file) that's the best we got. As for the table, yeah - it has tons of cool features in there. As a fun tip from a HUNK fan: you can select USS Soldiers stance and loadout for HUNK to have his model display all the weapons you get to carry in forgotten soldier DLC (like the grenade launcher), as well as having the knife sheathed in a different position! That was fairly obvious, since both of them use the exact same body model. Maybe with some poking around you can find other combinations that actually work/are compatible.
