I do not know how RE2 works but in DMC5 Capcom uses two folders for textures /natives/x64/character/player/xxxx/ and /natives/x64/streaming/player/xxx The character folder is for low resolution only while the streaming folder is for high quality textures, you would need to remake the textures(if creating new ones) or in this case just swap the already existing ones in that folder. If using Photoshop this is the preset that best works for me:
You can also check mods in NexusMods to see their structure, altough there's only a few it gives you an idea.

Oh yeah, I got everything on lock. I just messed up, the player file section has multiple folders of textures for these characters with "c" in the folder and without it. I totally forgot about streaming folders. Thank you!
