Hi there, Is it possible to extract models, sound effects and voice clips from the game's files? I know there is a .pak extractor and tried using it but the extractor doesn't work well. It stops extracting at 19GB for some reason and I get virtually nothing useful from that. See here: residentevilmodding.boards.net/thread/10077/extract-pak-use-noesisI'm planning to use the models, sounds, voices etc. to port them over as skins/palette swaps for characters in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. E.g. Claire Redfield/Ada Wong (incl. her voices/sfx) over Zero Suit Samus Leon S. Kennedy/HUNK (incl. their voices/sfx) over Snake Sherry Birkin (incl. her voices/sfx) over Young Link Mr. X (inl. his sfx) over Ganondorf If anyone can reply or help out, that will be very much appreciated. - Cheers

Hi Snipz,
Thanks for the quick reply. I will have a look at those when I get home where I have WiFi. I also visualise that the raw files are not in a usual file format.
How would I go about converting meshes to .fbx, textures to .png and all sounds to .wav? They would need to be converted in order to work with them and/other supply them to other Smash Modders.

I'm not sure about the meshes, theres a script for 3ds max to import them into that. Sounds I have a program to unpack them to mp3 or ogg, the link i sent also does that. Textures can be converted with the pak tool I linked, it can convert textures to .dds format which you can open with photoshop or any other program you have that supports .dds and then save it as .png etc

Ok cool. Snipz In terms of meshes, I have next to no knowledge in using 3DS max unfortunately :/ I may need someone to help me out when it comes to converting to the models in full into .fbx The finished model file layout should look like this: ScreenshotThis is the default Sherry model that I downloaded off the pack3dm website. All parts of the model are merged into one .fbx with textures in the same folder. EDIT: I had a quick look at the "ultimate file list" you linked and I noticed that the character models are in parts such as body, head, hair etc. I would also need help to somehow merge these parts into one .fbx

So I managed to extract some textures via Noesis and convert them to png. (Although the textures are there, it's just the transparent shading and not "whole". Now, the only real problems I'm having are extracting sounds. I followed the audio tutorial that you sent but within that, it's either convoluted or not that helpful (the OP was kinda vague). I managed to extract a .bnk file and the output was multiple .wem files. I'm not sure where to go after that. Snipz tagging you so can get this message.

Instead you could use this www.mediafire.com/file/jwbbddpq4nh8kuz/Wwise-Unpacker-master.rar/fileIt extracts the audio files into mp3 or ogg. You place the .bnk into the game files folder (rename the extension of the .bnk so its only that instead of .bnk.2.x64) Then choose unpack mp3 or unpack ogg

They appear that way in noesis but at the bottom of the view window in noesis is a button with a blue circle on it. If you click that it'll cycle through the "blends" of the texture. You can view the texture without alpha applied to it that way. As for exporting the model as a .fbx if you run the model script and get a model in 3DS max you can go to file and select "export" which will allow you to export the model as a .fbx file. I think there's also a noesis plugin that'll allow you to view the RE2 models in there. And noesis also supports exporting models as a .fbx

Hello Snipz, Thank you for posting that thread link! I had a question about the models when extracted. Can they be used to 3D print at all? Like the Tyrant model? Thank you for any help you can provide.

Thank you for any help you can provide. I don't know anything about 3D printing, sorry. If 3D printing uses various model formats then I guess? otherwise they might have to be converted. Thats all I can think of without any knowledge of 3D printing.
