Not sure if this is the correct place to post this, so apologies if it's wrong. Also apologies if this is a known bug or already has a thread on it, I couldn't find anything. Ok so I've been following the excellent video tutorial and have exported a model + textures to replace Leon's "modern" RPD uniform. I've noticed that any other meshes that aren't named "LODGroup_1_MainMesh_1_SubMesh_1" will have funky normals in-game: Hands are "LODGroup_1_MainMesh_1_SubMesh_1". If I change things around so another mesh is "LODGroup_1_MainMesh_1_SubMesh_1", then that mesh will appear correctly. An obvious solve would be to have the entire model as one mesh, but I need to at least have the upper body & legs separate due to different textures. Has this happened to anyone else?

Yes. This could possibly be the same issue you are experiencing.
But I suspect you might just be having a normal map mismatch with the sub mesh that you exported.
Here's something you can try as a quick test:
- make a back up of the .nrmr in both the section root and streaming folders - get another .nrmr from any other arbitrary folder and rename them to match what is in your WIP folders
when you run the game and see if the patterns change, then its obviously a mismatch.
Specific sub-meshes are tied to specific texture maps in their respective streaming and sectionroot folders. So if you were say, exporting a completely new mesh to stand in for say ####_submesh_1 then you have to make sure that if the original submesh 1 was say the torso, then your custom .nrmr should replace the .nrmr of the same body part.

Thanks for the link - that's the exact issue I'm having. No matter what I do, anything besides submesh_1 will have patches. The 3ds Max importer part of the script doesn't import the normals nor does the noesis plugin so can't see what's going on.
