Hello, guys,
Well, i'd want to point out that Resident Evil 2 Remake is a great game. and almost everything about it seems perfect.
But i couldh't help but notice that some people were not really happy with the choises CAPCOM did in classic OST DLC, and of course as you understood from topic, it was a S.T.A.R.S office theme.
Claire and Leon's meeting's theme were surely out of atmosphere for deserted and infested police station, aren't it?
So here is a change. The canonical one, i must add.
"...Claire felt save here.
It was one of few room that still kept the power. Suprisingly, there was no one. No zombies, no those terrifying red creatures, like that inhuman monster she left on another side of the door. Luckily, it did not saw here.
The office looked like S.T.A.R.S unit packed their things in a hurry. Lots of boxes were scattered around it, young woman saw some supplies - S.T.A.R.S members left some powder on the table over there...case for grenades for grenade launcher...Claire sighted with a little relief. At least now she had a little more ammo. Now her chanses of survival turned from nil to slim.
Perhaps, S.T.A.R.S members knew what was going to happen and evacuated the station long before it turned to hell? Claire did not knew.
When she saw the item hanging on the wall in front of her, she freezed.
Chris's jacket...!
Yes, it was definetely it. His "Made in Heaven" print.
Claire stood at one place, reminding herself the call that brought her here. That call was a couple of weeks ago, she called him, just for chit chat. Chris were grim. He evasively told her that he were too busy to investigate the terrible incidents that happened a time ago, and promised her to call her later. Now, standing in a destroyed police station, Claire had a pretty good idea, what he was talking about.
She touched Chris's jacket.
He couldh't just leave it without a reason, it's his favorite jacket. Was it because of "Made in heaven" art on the back? Claire did not knew. It may be was because of his experience in US Airforce - something like his totem - or "Made in heaven" album released by "Queen".
Once she asked brother. He told her, that he believed it to be his talisman, some like of guardian angel to Redfield family. He promised to get her something like that too. And he did. Once he gifted her that great leather jacket, and she started to wear it almost every time.
Claire smiled to that thought.
At first, her thoughts were that the jacket just looks cool. But at some time, she started to believe that angel on her back is really somehow protecting her. She somehow survived the first zombies encounter, and were saved by literal miracle...and Leon, that were there to save her.
Where is Leon now? Claire hoped with whole heart that he still alive. He is cute...
Remembering something, Claire left in her left, into a little room in her left. It was a captain office, deserted as the rest of room.
Claire knew that her brother always respected his captain. That is, until the incident. Now it revealed that the captain worked to destroy his whole unit, resulting leaving only five survivors of S.T.A.R.S...
She looked at the foto that were behind the captain chair. Yes. That's them...whole S.T.A.R.S unit.
Real team.
Real friends.
There is Chris, his new crush...Jill, was it?...all of them were good people. Chris always counted on them.
It's hard...and so surreal, just to think that only five of them survived. What horrific fate were other given to...?
Claire started to feeling cold...but she spent nearly a minute, still looking and remembering their faces. All she felt is a deep sense of strange mix of grieve and sorrow...
Then she turned around, grabbing the battery from the captain's desk. In the situation like this, you'll never know what you ever need.
"Please, be alive"-she wispered."May your angel guardian protect you."
Then she opened the door, not looking back.
There was nothing more to do here..."
