most (if not all) of the weapon skins I have planned won't be "realistic"
I don't do requests, but if I like a suggestion I might incorporate it
skins are going to be higher resolution if required for fine details
(1024x1024 compressed for a weapon skin, in 2019, really now capcom?)
(512x512 for a skin on low textures... wew)
texture files will be the same size in the 'streaming\sectionroot' and 'sectionroot' folders (the streaming folder is used for mid/high texture settings, the other folder is for low texture settings)
I might downscale 4k skins to 2k for the sectionroot folder, but that will only be for the larger weapons (4k .psd files are pretty large)
textures are going to be 2k for small weapons and 4k for large weapons (excluding the M1911 which is only 1k)
install using FluffyQuack's Mod Manager
M1911
"M1911 - Fade" download
"M1911 - conspiracy_red" download
"M1911 - conspiracy_gold" download
Quickdraw Army
"Quickdraw Army 'Made in Heaven' gold" download
"Quickdraw Army 'Made in Heaven' red_ivory" download | "Quickdraw Army 'Made in Heaven' red_charcoal" download
"Quickdraw Army 'Old Copper'" download
Combat Knife
the knives look a bit different ingame than in the modelviewer (better reflections/different color)
most knives have a unique reflections, except the 'Emerald/Ruby/Sapphire' skins (metalness/roughness)
originally I wasn't going to retexture the grip, but since the original texture has a visible seam I had to
here's a quick little mod that removes the cover from the Combat Knife (uses the atos texture alpha trick)
SLS 60
this weapon has a multipart skin, the base weapon and weapon parts are one skin
the upgrade parts (barrel, drum, grip) is another skin
this means you need to download two skins to have all the parts retextured
the reason behind this is so you can choose a separate grip color (the ivory is quite bright)
this is also the first skin that also comes with low res textures for the 'sectionroot' folder
since the low res texture gets loaded first by the game, I figured this might save some VRAM
(this multipart skin is 4 textures (2048x2048 is just over 5 MB, 512x512 are less than 0.5 MB))
'Made in Heaven'
feather texture for the base frame and upgraded grip, brushed texture for the upgraded barrel, colored parts on the drum/sight, engraved 'bombs' on the upgraded drum
angel with wings on the base frame, alternative texture for the trigger guard/grip frame/hammer area/grip, replaced all screws with torx screws (because why not)
'night'
a smooth dark skin that absorbs 72.7% more light
shares the gripframe + screws + grip + trigger(guard) with the other skins
'S.T.A.R.S.'
based on Chris's Samurai Edge, mainly the blue color of the slide and the background color of the emblem
wood of the grip also recolored to match the wooden section of the Samurai Edge grip
red front sight, partially golden hammer (just pretend it's brass for realism)
engraving of 'S.T.A.R.S.' and 'custom Kendo Shop', notches in the sides of the upgraded barrel
shares the gripframe + screws + grip + trigger(guard) with the other skins
Matilda
another multipart skin;
the base weapon is one skin, the upgrade parts (mag, muzzle brake) is one skin, the stock is one skin
this means you need to download three skins to have all the parts retextured
redline
pictured above is '(A)' + '(Stock A)' + '(Upgrade A1)'
carbon fiber frame, rubber grip with umbrella logo
dark red colored mag and trigger, redline on the slide, titanium colored barrel (only visible when the slide is back)
couldn't get the carbon fiber on the stock to look exactly like I wanted, but it's 'good enough' for a part I never use
upgraded mag always has the bottom lip colored (dark red), variations are either full color of mag, full color of muzzle brake, or both
goldline
pictured above is '(B)' + '(Stock B)' + '(Upgrade B2)'
basically a golden version of the redline skin with a green front sight decal
GM 79
this weapon uses one texture for the base and the upgrade, so it's a single download
the upgraded grip is actually the base texture, the non upgraded weapon uses a part of the texture and warps it
part of the end of the barrel is used as the bottom of the original grip, nothing I can do about that
this is also the first weapon I tried editing the .mtos file of, I tried to get it right, but the blue channel
gave me some issues. that channel should be shading/ambient occlusion
'Chaos'
"Blood for the Blood God! Skulls for the Skull Throne!"
skulls on the barrel, red brushed metal to replace the wooden parts
extended the barrel part over the grip, reworked the trigger area on the grip
spring like metal things for the upgraded stock, ivory colored details, etc
'Chaos' download
W-870
single file download this time
'flowers for c[Y]borgs'
skin inspired by Alita's doll body
flower wrap on the barrel/tube/chamber, gold line accents on the chamber
engraved flowers on the sides and top of the chamber (from concept art)
grip and stock are a desaturated and then darkened edit of the base texture
upgraded stock has metal end replaced with rubber texture
gold parts are a recolor of the base texture
