This version "guesses" the extensions for files with unknown path when extracting from a PAK file. Useful for snooping through unused assets or for games/patches where there's no good filelist available.

Just wanna say thanks. This tool works like a charm for Monster Hunter Rise Demo, though I still need to swizzle the tex files to get images (common for NS games) and add a few additional image formats that are not present in Resident Evil

Files with 'APKP' headers are .pck music files, which are not recognised without a file list. I manually changed its prefix from .bin to .pck and unpack it to .mp3 successfully.

That's a false positive. You'll have to temporarily disable antivirus, or add REtool to a whitelist.
