So I extracted my pak files for RE2R. I removed the -skipUnknowns so it would extract everything. How do I extract the info from the bin files that were in the pak files? Ive tried 7-8 programs that extract bin files and none of them work.

I added the resistance file list and the pak tool isent unpacking any files. Its skipping like 37,000 files. Should I remove skipunknowns? Nope doesnt unpak them right. Just unpacks them as bin files. Im gonna ask in discord.

I added the resistance file list and the pak tool isent unpacking any files. Its skipping like 37,000 files. Should I remove skipunknowns? Nope doesnt unpak them right. Just unpacks them as bin files. Im gonna ask in discord. That sounds like it's not using the correct file list. Remember to edit the batch file.

I’m having trouble converting the DDS file back to TEX using the “texture-conv.bat” file. It gives the following error:
Error: Couldn't open pl0000_body_albm.tex.190820018 for writing. Press any key to continue . . .
I am using the original files and I didn’t edit anything on the DDS file. To test it, I just dragged the TEX file to the “texture-conv.bat” file, and then dragged the newly created DDS file back to the “texture-conv.bat” file and gave me the error. Am I missing something?

How do you 'hook' files? Wanted to try creating some renders in blender and build up the casino which I've compiled, just looking for the smaller assets. How do you get stuff like the traps and things? Kinda wanted to do a pic of Martin saving Becca from a leghold trap whilst Sam is trying to keep Mr X at bay with a bat

That message should only appear if Windows refused to let REtool.exe open/create that file. It could happen if another program has the file open, or maybe anti-virus is getting in the game.

Updated REtool (download link is still the same) with support for converting DDS to TEX when using DDS textures of any resolution, mip count, and type. I haven't tested this extensively, so let me know if something goes wrong. More info about this release here: www.patreon.com/posts/43371999

I decided to do a comparison of different programs for BC7 compression: www.patreon.com/posts/43404470Quick summary: For most textures, the difference is pretty small, but for textures with very smooth gradients (which are common with textures for lighting, effects, or normal maps) then Nvidia Texture Tools and the Intel Plugin for Photoshop produce the best results.
